It’s a partnership between Lorain County JVS Adult Career Center, LCCC, North Ridgeville City Schools, and O’Neill Healthcare that allows students to earn their Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) credential while in high school.

High school seniors, ages 16 and older, who are interested in health care and able to attend afternoon and clinical sessions.
Students must have their own transportation to-and-from LCCC and O’Neill Healthcare.

No. The program is fully funded through Ohio’s investment in career-technical education. Students will be responsible to purchase scrubs.

Students will need to complete the following as part of the application process:
- Background Check (North Ridgeville High School)
- Physical by a Health Care Provider

Class Days/Times: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:00 – 5:30 PM

Clinical Experience: Two full-day sessions in April (16 hours total), scheduled in small groups

**Students must successfully complete 90-hours of course work, combined with clinical instruction.**

Students will graduate with a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) credential, First Aid/CPR certification, and pre-apprenticeship completion status. Active enrollment through Lorain County Community College Bridge Program.

All grades and credentials earned through OTC+ are recorded directly on the student’s high school transcript, ensuring academic recognition and contributing toward graduation requirments.

Course work is faciltiated through an LCJVS instructor at Lorain County Community College (LCCC) North Ridgeville Campus, and students will be enrolled in LCCC’s Bridges To Sucess health care pathway. Yes! Students will complete clinical training at O’Neill Healthcare North Ridgeville and have access to LCJVS Career Services and LCCC Career Services. Successful completers may also receive a guaranteed interview with O’Neill Healthcare.
