Culinary Fundamentals 
Build a Foundation in Culinary Arts
Train in hands-on kitchen labs and gain real-world food service experience.

Learn core techniques in cooking and baking while practicing in a commercial-grade culinary lab. This program covers kitchen safety, sanitation, and food preparation fundamentals. Students can earn two industry-recognized credentials and complete a 40-hour Pre-Apprenticeship in a local food service establishment. Class size is limited to 20 to ensure hands-on training and personalized instruction.

Food service is one of Ohio’s largest employment sectors, with growing demand for skilled culinary professionals in restaurants, catering, and institutional kitchens.

Esthetician

Transform Your Passion for Skincare into a Career
Train in facials, waxing, massage, and salon operations while preparing for Ohio licensure. This program prepares students for a career in skincare and aesthetics. Learn facial techniques, waxing, makeup application, massage, use of electrical machines, and salon management skills such as inventory and sales. Students also study Ohio State Board of Cosmetology rules and sanitation practices. Graduates receive OSHA and CPR certification and are eligible to take the Ohio State Board exam to become a licensed Esthetician. Career paths include salons, spas, dermatology offices, resorts, and cruise ships.

The personal care industry in Ohio continues to grow, driven by wellness, medical aesthetics, and hospitality—creating strong demand for licensed estheticians.

Manicurist

Shape a Career in Nail Care and Salon Services
Gain technical skills, real client experience, and prepare for state board certification. Train in manicuring, pedicuring, nail enhancements, and nail art, along with client consultation and product knowledge. Students practice massage techniques, polish application, and artificial nail procedures in a supervised student-run salon. The program includes experience in scheduling, inventory, and retail skills. Graduates earn a career technical certificate and qualify to take the Ohio State Board licensing exam.

Ohio’s beauty and wellness sector is expanding, offering opportunities for licensed manicurists in salons, spas, and entrepreneurial ventures.
