Make Training Affordable with Ohio’s TechCred Program

What is TechCred?
TechCred is a workforce development program from the State of Ohio that helps businesses upskill current and future employees by reimbursing employers up to $2,000 per employee for earning technology-focused, industry-recognized credentials. It's designed to ensure that Ohio companies have the skilled talent needed to compete in today’s fast-changing economy.

How TechCred Works

  1. Choose a Credential
    Select from a list of over 2,000 eligible short-term credentials, many of which can be delivered through Lorain County JVS Adult Career Center or created as part of a custom training solution.

  2. Apply for Funding
    Submit a TechCred application during an open funding round. Applications are accepted multiple times per year, and Lorain County JVS can assist you with this process.

  3. Train Your Employees
    Once approved, enroll your employees in the selected training. Training can be delivered on-site, online, or at our campus—whatever works best for your business.

  4. Earn the Credential & Get Reimbursed
    Upon successful credential completion, you submit proof of completion and request reimbursement. Businesses can receive up to $30,000 per funding round.
